Family: My labels include; wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. I have been blessed with a family full of diversity and creativity. My own little pod consists of my daughter who is the definition of pure joy, her name Louisiana, and my son Wells, who like his name is cool, deep and refreshing, both a source of inspiration for me.
What do you like about life in London and area? What’s not to love about London!
It’s alive in the fall and winter with an energy that the students bring, and in the spring and summer boasts a quaint town ambiance, picturesque, green and floral.
Favourite Restaurants: I love small family run “mom and pop” operations, where I can feel like I’m getting more than a meal, and where I know I’m getting value for my money. I like to imagine that my food is being prepared for me and not the masses. I want the ingredients to be fresh and hand selected and free of any excessive modifications. I strongly believe we are what we eat. I want to go out and eat something I can’t make at home. A good restaurant brings more than just food to the table, it delivers a memory.
Hobbies: My camera is my best friend. I never leave home without it. I love to stroll through food markets, find things I’m not sure of and then take them home and cook with them. Who doesn’t like the beach! My home away from home. I am forever looking for something to paint, a piece of furniture, a room, a canvas. I’m a foreign film junkie.
Dream Vacation: I have travelled the globe with my family, visiting over 90 different countries. There are many places I would like to return to however the quest for me would to go somewhere I haven’t been before… so I would say India.
Dead or alive, who would you like to have dinner with? The quest list would include those who have left me behind, my husband, my mother, my father and my childhood “bestie.” The menu would be crab cakes and a pot of gumbo. We would drink “pink champagne on ice” and have Klondike Bars for dessert. The table would be dressed with French linen, English bone china, silver and crystal. The candles will be lit and there would be a riot of flowers. We would listen to old Billy Holiday tunes on vinyl. We would laugh and talk and dance.
